The Penguin book cover design for Bernadine Evaristo’s bestselling novel Girl, Woman, Other conveys the themes of feminity and power that are prevalent with the story.

The pattern is inspired by the West African Adinkra symbols that are seen throughout the novel.

The cover design was entered as part of the 2022 Penguin book cover design competition.
